But ever since the City living resource pack and such, it has not been working. My mods used to work with an older version of The Sims 4. Later I tried to open sims and my mods werent showing up or working, thats when I realized I accidentally deleted my resource.cfg file, and I dont know how to get it back. And it doesn't seem to be the CC itself, because every CC file I've downloaded is not detected. Sims 4 wasnt starting up for me so I went through and deleted the cache files and other unwanted files. The CC I download is from The Sims 4 Resource site. After you get it, it must be placed in the Mods folder (My Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3/Mods). package files, is an additional file you have to download and cannot be found in the game. I have checked the CC to see if they're all package files, and they are. cfg file we are referring to for the installation of. This will force the game to generate a new resource.cfg file, which will fix the crashing if it has been caused by an issue with that file. Go to the Sims 3 folder under the My Documents. And also, I deleted the resource.cfg file in my mods folder to see if it would refresh it when I went on the game, but when I got on the game and check my mods folder again, it didn't give me a new one. Go to your The Sims 4/Mods folder in your Documents. It's like the game is not reading the mods folder. But when I try to download my own and put it in my mods folder, none of it is detected.
